OpenFlight Labs, Inc. ("we") provides flight data APIs. This policy explains what we collect from customers and website visitors and what we do with it.
We do not collect personal data about the passengers or end-users of the flights we track, and we do not use API query logs to profile our customers.
The website and dashboard set strictly necessary cookies for login session and CSRF protection. We also set optional analytics cookies (load timing, page views) only after you accept them in the consent banner; you can change your choice any time in dashboard settings. The API itself is cookie-free.
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are contract performance (account + API), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention) and consent (optional cookies). Data subjects may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability via privacy@openflightapi.com, and may complain to their supervisory authority. Customer data submitted to the API is processed under our Data Processing Agreement (available on request; EU data residency available on Business plans).
Account data is kept while your account is active and for 3 years after closure for tax purposes. Usage records are retained for 7 years where required by US tax law; they contain no passenger personal data.
Effective: February 1, 2026
We provide flight status, schedule, route and related data over an API. Flight data is inherently time-sensitive and sometimes incomplete; we make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate but do not warrant that it is error-free or suitable for safety-critical or operational navigation uses.
Each plan has published rate limits. You may not: circumvent rate limits by rotating keys or IPs for a single application; redistribute raw API responses as a competing flight-data product; scrape the dashboard; or use the service to build a dataset sold as a substitute for the API. We may throttle (429), then suspend, accounts that persistently exceed limits — with email notice where practicable.
Pro bills monthly in USD by card; overage at $0.40 per 1,000 calls. Business plans bill annually by invoice, net-30. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the period ends. Amounts exclude applicable taxes.
Business plans include a 99.95% monthly uptime SLA with service credits as described in the order form. Pro plans carry a 99.9% target without credits. Live status and incident history are published on our status page.
Except for breach of confidentiality or indemnification obligations, each party's aggregate liability is capped at fees paid in the prior 12 months. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages.
We'll give 30 days' notice of material changes to these terms. They are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, with venue in the state or federal courts of Delaware.
